Grossmont Healthcare District offering free health screenings for children

photokcf2015rc12654As part of our mission to support health-related community programs and services in San Diego’s East County, the Grossmont Healthcare District annually hosts Kids Care Fest. This community-oriented event is open to the public and features free health screenings for children and their families.

Kids Care Fest is an opportunity for community members to get together, have fun and receive free, potentially life-saving health screenings from healthcare professionals. Along with vision and dental checkups, Kids Care Fest also features a variety of local health and community-based organizations offering medical and wellness resources from pediatricians, dermatologists and pharmacists. Free flu shots also will be available (while supplies last).

Additional free activities will include rock climbing, pony rides, as well as demonstrations and displays from public services, including police and fire officials. Free child fingerprinting services and children’s books will also be available.

The 2017 Kids Care Fest will take place on October 14, 2017 from 9am to 1pm at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds. More details and updates will be made available in the coming months. For more details please phone (619) 825-5050.
